Asthma & COPD

Asthma is a chronic condition that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways, leading to difficulty breathing.

Treatment typically includes medications to manage symptoms and control flare-ups, along with lifestyle adjustments to improve lung function. Biologics are available for moderate to severe asthma.

Nasal & Eye Allergies

Nasal allergies, including hay fever, result in symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and runny nose.

Antihistamines, nasal sprays, and allergy shots are common treatment options to manage symptoms.

Anaphylaxis, Food, Drug, Bug, & Latex Allergies

Anaphylaxis is a severe, life-threatening allergic reaction that can occur rapidly.

Treatment with epinephrine and emergency medical care is essential to prevent complications.

Skin Conditions

Hives are raised, itchy welts on the skin that are caused by an allergic reaction or other triggers.

Antihistamines and, in some cases, advanced medications and specialized biologics are used for treatment.

Sinusitis & Nasal Polyps

Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinuses, often caused by allergies or infections.

Treatment may include nasal sprays, antihistamines, antibiotics, or in some cases, allergy injection therapy.

Primary Immune Deficiency (PID), EOE, HES, & EGPA

Primary immune deficiency (PID) are genetic conditions where the immune system is weakened, making the body more susceptible to infections, autoimmune diseases, cancers, and organ damage.

Treatment may include immunoglobulin therapy, antibiotics, and other supportive treatments to manage infections and boost immunity.

Diagnostic Testing

Skin prick testing is done to determine IgE allergic antibody presence to an environmental allergy or a food. Trees, grasses, weeds, molds, dust mites, pets, and many foods are available for testing.
Skin Prick Testing
Full Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) measure lung capacity and airflow to assess the severity of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory conditions. These tests help determine how well your lungs are functioning and guide treatment.

We provide an advanced version of this test not available in most offices.
PFT
Penicillin/Amoxicillin drug testing is used to assess whether a patient has an allergy to antibiotics.

This test involves skin prick testing, intradermal testing, and an oral challenge to the antibiotic.
Penicillin / Amoxicillin
Stinging insect venom testing is done by a combination of skin prick testing, intradermal testing, and blood testing.
Stinging Insect Testing
Oxygen saturation testing measures the amount of oxygen in your blood to assess lung function and detect conditions like asthma or COPD.

This test helps ensure that your body is receiving enough oxygen for optimal health.
Oxygen Saturation Testing
Patch testing for chemicals is used to diagnose contact dermatitis by applying small amounts of potential allergens to the skin to observe any allergic reactions.

This test helps identify sensitivities to chemicals, fragrances, and other substances. This test requires multiple visits.
Chemical Patch Testing
Food allergy challenges involve carefully monitored exposure to suspected food allergens to prove a patient has outgrown the food allergy.

These challenges are typically done in a controlled medical setting to ensure safety and accurate results.
Food Allergy Challenges
Laboratory/blood tests help identify specific allergens or immune system markers to diagnose allergic conditions and immunodeficiencies.

These tests can measure levels of IgE antibodies and other immune-related substances.

Personalized Treatments

Allergy shots, or immunotherapy, involve regular injections of small amounts of allergens to help the immune system build tolerance over time, reducing allergic reactions.

This long-term treatment can significantly improve symptoms for many individuals with allergies.
Allergy Shots
Prescription medications are used to manage allergy and asthma symptoms. These medications help control inflammation, reduce allergy triggers, and provide relief from severe reactions.
Prescription Medications
Stinging insect immunotherapy involves regular injections of small amounts of venom to help the immune system build tolerance over time, reducing allergic reactions. Bee, Yellow Jacket, Hornet, Paper Wasp, and Fire Ant treatments are available.

This long-term treatment can be life-saving. It may be required for life.
Stinging Insect Immunotherapy
Patients with Primary Immune Deficiency require immunoglobulin replacement. We apply for and supervise the choice of immunoglobulin replacement therapy.

These are blood products and only highly skilled experts should be managing these treatments.
Immunoglobulin Replacement
Biologics are advanced medications requiring significant effort to obtain and a high level of skill to utilize.

Dr. Stryk teaches and advises other physicians all over the country about the use of biologics in multiple conditions including asthma, COPD, nasal polyps, hives, eczema, hereditary angioedema, EGPA, HES, EOE, and other conditions.
Biologics
Aspirin desensitization is a treatment for patients with aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD), where gradual exposure to aspirin helps reduce sensitivity and manage symptoms.

This procedure is done under medical supervision to safely improve tolerance.
